Spellbinders Paper Arts

Employed from February 2024 to December 2024 / Position held: Graphic Designer and Illustrator

My Responsibilities:

  • Making Production Ready Files

  • Deadlines

  • Brand Consistency

Responsibilities In Detail:

  • Making Production Ready Files - Our products followed strict specifications for factory approval and manufacturing. All products had to fit within these specs to minimize factory error and maximize product output to meet deadlines. Learning and implementing these for each product was imperative to our customers receiving product launches, subscriptions, and new releases. Since card making is the business, making sure customers received these products in time so they may make the cards to send out before the holiday or celebration they are crafting for. I would always reference our spec guides, ask questions, and keep up to date with our team in this area.

  • Deadlines - My position was essentially a designated floater for our design team. When needed, I would work on product packaging, web assets, influencer products, core products, product guides, and various in-house side projects. This was to help ensure the deadlines were on track for product releases.

  • Brand Consistency - Keeping a relatively consistent style of illustration for the company was important for our core designs, but also the influencers we worked with. This meant keeping up to date with products in the past, and what my other co-workers were working on in the same collection.
